The Domaine du Mas Blanc Banyuls ‘Cuvée St. Martin’ 1959 represents the legacy of Docteur Parcé and three generations of the Parcé family, a testament to their vision and advocacy of one of the great terroirs of France. Named after the feast day in October when Banyuls grapes were traditionally harvested, it comes from what is perhaps the prized of the domaine's vineyards: Coume del Mas, a 1.5-hectare, east-facing parcel that sits at 350-meters, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

This rare wine results from the long tradition of the Puig and Bailbé families, who would reserve their best Rivesaltes vintages for future generations. From the Roussillon plains, under the auspices of Mount Canigou and the nearby Mediterranean Sea, this wine was produced from a traditional field blend of ungrafted, century-old Grenache varieties—Grenache noir, blanc, gris & rosat—and aged for nearly 65 years in ancient cement tank prior to bottling in 2023.

Domaine de Rombeau is renowned for having one of the most replete libraries of old Rivesaltes in the region, with wines dating back to the early 20th century. The wines highlight indigenous varieties Grenache blanc, Grenache gris and Macabeu, as well as the varied elevage—with wines aged in glass demijohns and ancient barrique, indoors and out—that sets Roussillon apart. Some vintages slumbered in barrel for more than 50 years, and the ascription ‘Rancio’ denotes the prized characteristics that the wines assume over decades. Hand-picked from single barrels in minute quantities, these wines offer a glimpse into the celebrated history of the appellation.
