Banyuls Rimage
A style first advanced by Dr. Andre Parcé of Domaine du Mas Blanc in the late 1960s, Banyuls rimage is Roussillon’s analog to vintage port, its vinification and elevage aimed at preserving the primary character of its ripe, late-harvested grapes for a slow, graceful evolution in the bottle. Thus, Banyuls rimage is typically bottled after just a year or two in barrel and can be enjoyed in its youth or after decades under the cork.
